What is a SRES® and why use a Realtor® with a SRES® designation?
SRES® (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), is a real estate professional that will respond to your specific, 50+ real estate needs. A SRES® designee, has received extensive education on topics such as probate, estate planning, mortgage options, and can offer you relevant information on current market trends as well as valuable resources regarding real estate transactions.
However, it’s not just about knowing the tax laws and mortgage options, it’s also about having compassion for people that may have different needs based on their mobility and mindset. As a SRES® agent, I have adapted my business to meet the individual needs of my clients. Some of those include:
- choice of communication ie; face to face, phone, email etc… depending on the clients preference
- The choice of electronic signatures or printed copes of documents (can also be large print).
- Access to a comprehensive directory of senior services available in the local community.
- Being present for showings when selling your home if that makes the client more at ease
- Working cohesively with family members if they are to be included with the transaction as per the clients’ instructions.
Being a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® means having patience and understanding of an ever-changing demographic.
